Every photograph here comes from Wikimedia Commons under a licence that permits commercial use. Credit appears beside each image as well as in this list.
What we will and will not use
- Accepted: CC0, CC BY, CC BY-SA, and public domain. These permit commercial use, which this site is — it carries affiliate links.
- Rejected: anything carrying NC (non-commercial) or ND (no derivatives), and anything whose licence we could not read programmatically. The sourcing script refuses to download these; there is no manual override.
- Not used at all: producer marketing photography, retailer product shots, and images scraped from other sites. A good-looking page is not worth a takedown.
