Yamazaki Distillery

山崎蒸溜所

Japan's first malt whisky distillery, built where three rivers meet on the edge of Osaka. The site is on the Kyoto–Osaka railway line, which is why it is the one distillery most visitors can actually reach. Tours book out well in advance.

Visits are possible but must be booked in advance, often weeks ahead.
