Is it Japanese whisky?

Mashed, fermented, distilled, matured and bottled in Japan, per the Japan Spirits & Liqueurs Makers Association standard.

How it tastes

Named after Masataka Taketsuru, who learned to distil in Scotland in 1918 and came home to start the industry. A vatting of Yoichi and Miyagikyo. Reformulated in 2020, which brought it inside the JSLMA standard — one of the few Nikka blends that is squarely Japanese whisky.
